I'm happy to celebrate that, too.

I don't really like to celebrate my birthday, either. My dad died the day I was born, so it never was a particularly happy day. So trust me, I get not wanting to celebrate it.
But I still want to know. I want to try to bake you a cake and do disastrously, or bring you breakfast in bed. I want to be able to get you a special gift. Doesn't mean I'll throw a big party or anything, but I want it to be a special day. Just the two of us, if nothing else.

It's not that I don't want to celebrate. I just haven't for a long time. Birthday parties weren't part of the curse time loop, so I just sort of forgot.

I'm not really sure of the day, either. My world didn't exactly run on the Gregorian calendar.

Aw, that's too bad. Well, we could always share my birthday, I wouldn't mind that. I don't like big parties but I'd still like to celebrate it with you. How does that sound?

Not birthday parties for me, no. Very few people here know the date, and that's only because they took a peek into my file.

We'd have to wait until January. And that would also be my one year of living in the Quarantine. We can still celebrate it then, but I'm honestly a little eager to see you try your hand at baking.

But you'll tell me the date? You know how to make a guy feel special, James.

Maybe so. I've just never had to cook anything, before. Never even had to heat up milk or make toasts.

Right, January 1st. Well, sounds perfect to me. We could turn it into a 4-day celebration, maybe go somewhere. Camping on the opposite side of the moon or something like that.

I got you a few gifts too. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. By the way, you think we could get a sitter for Lucy one of these days? We could have a date night sometime this week.

Well, I don't have anything special planned or anything. Just thought we could do something nice, and it's been a while since we went out on a proper date. After everything that's happened these past couple months, I think we deserve it.

Besides we never got to properly celebrate moving in together.

Well I'm open to suggestion if there's anything you'd like to do. Do you wanna go out, or would you rather stay in? I won't mind either way, as long as I get to spend that time with you.

Since this is a proper date, I can rent a car and pick you up. How do you feel about outdoor movies? We can do that. Or just stargaze for a while and listen to music.
