[ Jim sighs as though being stuck with Victor is the worst possible thing for him to settle with. The farce is quick to disappear when Victor pulls off that accent, and he moves closer, tugging on the lapel of Victor’s white coat. ]

Mmm, how about... wearing only the hat? That sounds infinitely more appealing.

[jolting]

[He smiles, curling his fingers James's hair more and his other hand going around the man's waist. They're doing terrible at him getting back to work]

That may be a problem if I'm going to pick you up from work later, but maybe once we get home I can arrange something.

[ He chuckles softly at the mental image Victor’s words conjure up, the fingers on his hair predictably drawing a gasp from him. ]

Yeah, let’s— save it for later. Wouldn’t want to share the sight of your naked body with anybody else, anyway...

[ Victor better not be expecting him to actually be the one to suggest he go back to work right now. ]

[jolting]

Agreed. Your gorgeous body is for my eyes only. [He smiles at that gasp, tightening his fingers a bit more]

[ He barely manages to bite back a purr when Victor grips his hair tighter, his head tipping slightly and eyes closing. ]

[ Jim laughs softly. Really, Victor is so doing it on purpose, he’s terrible. And yet he loves it.

He curls his hands around Victor’s neck and pulls him in closer, kissing him slowly, deepening the contact until he can taste the doctor’s mouth in his tongue. A hand slips playfully underneath his white coat, snaking around Victor’s waist and settling on his back. ]

[He is absolutely doing this on purpose. James is always the one teasing him, leaving him flustered. Turning it around feels pretty damn good. He scratches the back of James's neck, letting their tongues tangle together for a while. He ends it with a light nip on the mouth and a squeeze on the ass]

[ He narrows his eyes at Victor, catching the doctor’s hands in his own in a loose hold. ]

[He lifts their hands up to kiss James's knuckles]

[ Jim’s smile widens just thinking about how Victor will show his appreciation for the gift. The day can’t be over soon enough— he’s almost sorry he didn’t wait until later to give him the ring. ]

Yes, please. [ He holds just one of Victor’s hands, thumb brushing over the ring on his finger. Yeah, he’s not gonna tire of that anytime soon. ]

[jolting]

[He likes the way the ring feels on his finger. And speaking of jewelry, he gently traces the infinity symbol on James's bracelet with the fingers of his other hand. He kisses James's fingers again before tugging him along to the hospital entrance]

I'll come by the guard when your shift is over. Or maybe I'll come by earlier and distract you.

[winscenario]

[ He ducks his head a little when Victor traces the symbol on his bracelet, which he hasn’t taken off since Victor put it on him. He falls into step next to the doctor as they start down the hallway, squeezing Victor’s hand in his own. ]

I’ll look forward to it all day long.

[jolting]

I hope so.

[By now the hospital staff is used to them so they just nod to Jim and go about their business. Victor sees him all the way to the entrance, taking in a few more parting kisses]

Don't work too hard.

[ He cups Victor’s face while stealing that last kiss, reluctantly parting from him so they can go their separate ways again. ]

Promise I won’t. [ He winks as he turns to leave. Wouldn’t want to tire himself out too much for tonight, after all. ]
